Housed within a monumental building, the museum has a unique collection of historical artefacts. Learn more about the making of cheese, the world famous cheese market and rural life in the Dutch countries. At set times, interactive presentations are being held at the 'theatre' of the museum. Children have their own section with interactive games and videos, and can enjoy the specially laid out scavenger hunt.
Back on the Waagplein? On Friday morning and Tuesday evening (from 29 March till 27 September 2019) you have the world famous cheese market. Shopping is done in the Old City, where you can buy clothes, coffee and a delicious lunch.
